Welcome Week 2008

Fall Welcome Events will occur during the week of August 25-29, 2008. This is a perfect opportunity for students to visit campus departments, take tours, participate in orientation sessions and workshops, and make some new friends before the fall semester gets too hectic.

All new freshman, transfer, and extension students are invited to hear from the Chancellor and the ASUC President and enjoy a picnic dinner in Memorial Glade (Cal 1 Card, your photo ID, required).

Tuesday, August 26, 7:30am-3:30pm, Getting your Bearings Orientation
For new students who have not attended CalSO. Registration required, $45, http://calso.berkeley.edu.

Tuesday, August 26-Thursday, August 28, 4pm-5:30pm, Chancellor's Receptions for New Undergraduates

Tuesday, August 26: Clark Kerr and Unit 2 residents

Wednesday, August 27: Unit 4 (Bowles, Foothill, Stern), International House, Channing and Bowditch Apartment residents, and off-campus residents (includes co-op dwellers)

August 28: Unit 1 and Unit 3

Thursday, August 28, 5:30-9pm, Calapalooza
A student activity fair extravaganza. Dinner will be served to all students living in the residence hall and all new undergraduates; bring your Cal 1 Card (your photo ID), Upper and Lower Sproul Plaza, 642-4970.
