    Berkeley's welcome program is callled Getting Your Bearings. For fall 2014 we're organizing three full weeks of activities organized around themes: Welcome and Campus Culture, Community and Involvement, and Campus Services and Resources. See highlights in the next section below.

    New Graduate Student Orientation: 8:30AM until 3PM, For ALL incoming Graduate Students: attend interesting workshops on a range of important campus resources and opportunities.     Bear Pact (Mandatory for residents of Unit 3 and CKC): 10AM until 11:30AM. This mandatory presentation will teach you about important issues faced by college students: sexual assault and harassment, mental health, and alcohol use. Learn about the many ways you can maintain a balanced lifestyle and the resources on campus that can help you in this pursuit. You will also gain strategies to take care of your friends, classmates, and roommates. The Bear Pact presentation supports students in meeting the Violence Prevention Education Requirement.
